College students will spend the day with broadcast professionals on October 6th for IBA's one-day student conference, IBA-University. Conference will be held in the Bone Student Center on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
Students have the opportunity to start their day at the IBA Career Fair where they can visit with hiring professionals to discuss open positions as well as internship possibilities. Students will then gather for an industry session to hear from professionals on what to expect during the job search process and how to land your first job on radio or TV.
Winners of the IBA Student Silver Dome Awards Competition will be announced during the luncheon. Nearly 300 entries were submitted to the 2017 competition. Finalists will soon be announced.
The afternoon sessions include: Drive Time Radio, Sports Play-by-Play, Women in Media, TV News, Social Media and Digital Marketing, and Sales & Promotions.
