Radio Street Team Members

Midwest Communications is Central Illinois’ clearly-dominant radio station group and digital marketing team.  We reach roughly a quarter-of-a-million radio listeners and countless digital media users over our web and social platforms.

Marketing for our radio stations and on behalf of our clients is a major focus of our company.  We’re also behind numerous area events, including Red White and Boom on July 4th, the biggest single annual event in downstate Illinois.  Our street team members, working for our Promotions Department, play a major role in our marketing success!


This position is responsible for technical setup and representing our station brands at high profile events and popular locations.  Members will interact with the public individually and also with a team.  Applicants must be social, outgoing, detail oriented, and enthusiastic about promotions and radio.

  • Properly expose the brand and represent all six radio stations to the public.
  • Set up live broadcast equipment (we will train you).
  • Interact with the public at a variety of events such as concerts, sporting events, broadcasts, festivals, and fundraisers.
  • Assist the Promotions Director and/or Brand Managers as needed.
  • Set up tents and sound systems, hanging signage/banners, assist listeners with signing up for contests, and drawing qualifiers/winners.
  • Successfully communicate with several different types of positions: listeners, employees, management at events, clients.
  • Reliably work flexible hours, including some nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Drive Station Vehicle to and from event, which requires a valid driver license.
  • Other duties as assigned.
