Wally Gair
IBA’s first ever Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Wally Gair, former President of IBA, on June 30, 2004, for his years of outstanding service to the broadcast industry. Gair’s commitment of excellence to our profession began while he was a college student at Bradley University from which he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication in 1954. While at Bradley, he was a member of the radio guild, participated as a cast member in The Tempest and Thunder Rock, and was the director of the campus production of A Christmas Carol.
